olympic
This radiator was in the attic. It's Mopar and I am pretty sure it is off of a 37, 39 or 42 DeSoto. My guess is 1939 Keiser will know. Its not the greatest picture.Dave
TerryB
Part number on the tank looks correct for late 1930s. Terry
olympic
Thanks, Terry, I know it doesn't fit any of our Franklins! Dave
keiser31
Looks a lot like 1946 Dodge except for the top being a little flatter on the radiator in question. The gooseneck mount is the same.
olympic
Thanks, John, I know that it is DeSoto, so since it looks like 46 Dodge I am going to guess 42 DeSoto. I had 2 42s at one point. Dave
dpcdfan
Dave… A rule of thumb in IDing MOPAR parts is that pre WW II parts are almost always 6 digits. In 1946 most, but not all, parts started using 7 digit #s. I've had many 42 Desoto/Chryslers parts and they are typically 6 digits starting with 9-----. A tank number starting with 7 would most likely be around 1939. Hope this helps.
