Hello to the community!  This is my first post so please be gently if I have placed it in the wrong sub-section.

I am restoring a 1949 Buick Super, and I am having quite a bit of trouble finding information about the correct interior colors.

There is currently a two tone interior. (Gray/Green). I was able to find a paint chip for the exterior color. I am going with Regency Blue ;). I would like to fully restore the vehicle to as like new as possible.

I will upload an image of the interior along with the message.

So...

Is there a good resource available that will help me confirm the interior colors of a 1949 Buick Super?

I look forward to hearing back from you all and starting up this project!

Thank you,

Chris

I was doing more research and found that this plate would be helpful, but I am not sure what to reference it against.

Thoughts???

  • 5 years later...

I'm just starting to restore a 1949 Buick Super as well.  I think I have figured out the Fisher Stamp from the vehicle.  However it is unclear what color the two tone metal under the window is painted.   From researching the previous posts on this site, it doesn't look like the interior paint is listed against the color of the Fisher Stamp.   Any help appreciated.

If you had the COMPLETE paint code listings for the year it would include color formulas for interior colors and in some cases, wheels. I have a very old set of RM color books that has this info. Every paint manufacturer should have the info on file and can look it up from the trim code on your data plate.
