  1. Thank you! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
  2. I'm just starting to restore a 1949 Buick Super as well. I think I have figured out the Fisher Stamp from the vehicle. However it is unclear what color the two tone metal under the window is painted. From researching the previous posts on this site, it doesn't look like the interior paint is listed against the color of the Fisher Stamp. Any help appreciated. 1949 Mod. 51 (Mod 51 = 4 door sedan, 6- passenger) Style no 49-4569 = Fisher body stay number (49 = 1949, 4 = Buick, 5 = Series 50/Super, 69 = 4 door sedan, 6 passenger Body no G11469 (G = body built at Framingham, MA plant) (11469 = sequential body no. Relation to Vin) Trim no 51 = Grey Stripped Braodcloth Paint no 2 (02= Bahama Blue Poly. Code DAL-10556-DQE) (Ditzler PPG 10556) Top ACC. K (K=option code for heater / Defroster)
  3. Thank you so much....I did a quick search and I can't find that exact tool but there are a few knock-offs. Unless you have a supplier you'd recommend to pick this up, I'll roll the dice with a inter webs purchase. Thank you for pulling the curtain back on this magic show!
  4. I'm working to redo the interior on a 1949 Buick Super. Any advice on removing the window cranks? I'm sure there are clips holding them in place but there is also that tricky spring loaded metal ring around each crank.
