TG57Roadmaster
WOW, look at the price range of a Packard in 1941. From $907 to $5500. Farther up Packard's "Class of '41" food chain was the 127"whb, 5-passengerCustom Super Eight Darrin Convertible Victoria, at $4,685, f.o.b. Detroit.(A favorite Packard ad, one of the FORTUNE "Golden Ad" series). Note the One-Ten ad's fine print; "Prices subject to change without notice". And change they did. The May-June 1942 issue of the Blue Book shows the 148"whb Custom Super Eight7-passenger Touring Limousine by LeBaron listing for $5,595. This is what you gotwhen you jumped in with both feet... Guest bkazmer
WOW, look at the price range of a Packard in 1941. From $907 to $5500. Remember that Packard had no "sub-brands" like GM, Ford, and Chrysler. So the range was from the 110 competing with in some cases Pontiac and Dodge up to the semi-custom LeBarons and Darrins at the very top of the market. ScarredKnightfan
Love seeing old ads like this & comparing prices..... Some of the marketing schemes of yesteryear seem so ahead of their time ... & some wouldn't go over very well today ... LOL!
