is anyone recognize this car symbol

Oldsmobile

Usually seen in red over green this emblem is found on a lot of Oldsmobiles from the 30s to the 50s. I think it's a bird with wings on the top and 3 micrometers on the bottom. This is a horn button from 48-49

The symbol was also used on the center caps of Oldsmobile mag wheels of the late 70's and 80's 90's and up. The old Olds symbol coexisted with the newer style rocket that originally was in the center cap. most of the performance type cars got the rocket style.

They also used the symbol in the years above for the hood ornament (shared with the rocket) in owners manuals etc.

Here is a unusual one, a 1987 Cutlass Supreme that has the rocket symbol in the center of the grille fascia, and above it is the old style coat of arms in the hood ornament!

They certainly do look more like acorns. There is some car that has micrometers though.

The Acura emblem is supposed to be both a stylized "A" and a micrometer
