AzBob Posted June 17, 2015 Share Posted June 17, 2015 I am in the process of checking the connecting rod bearing clearances and found this on No. 5 con rod bearing cap. It appears to be a void or some kind of porosity. Should I be concerned? DonMicheletti Posted June 17, 2015 Share Posted June 17, 2015 That appears to be a casting flaw from when the babbit was poured, not damage, in my opinion.Since there isnt additional radial damage of the bearing I'd think it is OK.That is good clearance too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
