nzcarnerd
This one - http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/other/auction-885266128.htm - is for sale here in NZ. Any thoughts on what engine is fitted to it? 1929 or '30 smaller six maybe? Just curious. I know it would be very hard to find a 1932 Series 60 eight engine here as there were no new Buicks sold here in 1932.
50jetback
The 6 cylinder motor is the smaller motor of 1929/1930 ( larger has water distribution pipe running the length of the head ). Probably pick up a suitable motor in Aus but doesn't the advert say it comes with 3 straight 8 motors? Presumably they would be 1932 Straight 8's? Mark Shaw
A 1932 60 series should have a straight 8 cylinder 320 cu. in. engine.
nzcarnerd
To 50jetback; yes it does say spare engines but it does not say what year. To Mark Shaw; the 1932 Series 60 engine is 272 cid. The 320 only started in 1936. I have no interest in buying this car as I have too many projects. I was just interested to read about it.
