Bob Giles
Would it be wrong to show a milk truck with wooden milk boxes, from the correct time period?
Guest
I would say leave them home. They can only hurt you in National judging. Although they add a nice touch, the truck did not come from the factory with wooden milk boxes inside.
Even if that fact were to be overlooked the boxes themselves would be subject to judging and deduction as would any accessory if not perfect.
Don't take the chance. ~ hvs
novaman
With National AACA Shows and any factory accessories or anything else you might put on or in your vehicle remember this rule of thumb:
If it ain't there they can't take points.
Guest
And to add to novaman's sage advice, there was something I was told 33 years ago when I started judging.
"Accessories can never add points to a score. They can only take them away."
hvs
Bob Giles
The votes are in, the boxes stay at home.
Thanks
Ron Green
Take them along but just put them in the truck after it is judged. Thats what I do with my accessories and it seems to work out well.
