Mudbone
As stated in old cars weekly, East Troy Salvage is Crushing 4000 cars and trucks. I went last Saturday. The cars are so rusty it is hard to tell what some of them are. There are still some good trim to be had. The first video is just Buicks the second is the whole yard. (Or what we saw of it) “Sorry in advance for the bad jokes and stupid comments, we were high on the smell of rusty metal”
JohnD1956
Thanks for the Video Mud. When one reads that 4000 cars are being crushed it makes me cringe. But the video shows that in all probability they are crushing maybe 200 cars and the rest is already crushed and just ruined beyond any usefulness. Not unlike that yard I was documenting last year by me. There comes a point where there is nothing useful and in fact they are doing the environment a favor by removing that stuff. At least I am not tempted to make another road trip right now.
jfreakofkorn
seems like more and more yards are doing this ....it is a shame to see this =0(
Mudbone
There were a lot of guys there with a battery operated saws-all. So lets hope some of the stuff was saved.
Thriller
It amazes me the condition of some of the parts remaining and the fact that they are still there. I'm not surprised to see another go, but it's a shame to know about the loss of some of these parts.
