cahartley
I’ve watched T’s for a long time and if you are reading this you probably have too.I'm helping a friend sell this car.......please watch the video and see what you think >>> Feel free to tell me I’m all wet but considering the originality of this car I’m thinking in the $30 neighborhood.I’ve seen screwed up and “restored” stuff sell in that range which I think is a travesty. Here are links to 48 high quality photos I have hosted at my website. If you think I'm nuts tell me.......I can take it....... www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0001.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0002.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0003.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0004.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0005.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0006.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0007.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0008.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0009.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0010.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0011.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0012.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0013.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0014.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0015.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0016.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0017.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0018.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0019.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0020.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0021.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0022.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0023.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0024.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0025.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0026.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0027.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0028.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0029.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0030.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0031.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0032.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0033.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0034.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0035.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0036.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0037.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0038.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0039.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0040.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0041.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0042.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0043.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0044.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0045.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0046.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0047.JPGwww.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0049.JPG
trimacar
Looks like you've had your question answered on the MTFCA site, consensus seems to be about a $17,500 car, plus or minus a couple thousand.....so apparently the $30k is not the market value right now....Very nice car, which at first glance looks correct, but once the T guys look at it (and great set of pictures by the way) the incorrect things are pointed out, such as wrong wheels and other parts.Personally, I'd also call this a partially restored car because of the paint job.....a lot of people would rather see it in original paint, however ratty.....although there probably aren't a handful of very early T's still with all original paint....All in all, a very nice early T with a few things not 1912.......100 years is a long time for something not to have been replaced on a T, and a good reminder that if you're going to spend big bucks on a T, make sure you have a T expert along with you to verify authentic parts... edinmass
I think the car would bring 20-22k. Nice car. They are much more difficult to find than you would think. Good luck, Ed
cahartley
Even the T guys can't agree as to what's "correct" about it.One expert from the West Coast, who I actually met, said even he doesn't know a lot about '12 models as there were a lot of changes that year.I doubt there are many left in the condition this one is in that haven't been ruined. cahartley
I imagine those who post here also frequent the mtcfa forum so if you want to see how this plays out see that >>> http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/411944/470421.html?1408765519
trimacar
Well, yes, I for one have followed the threads on both forums about this car. Apparently 1912 was quite a transition year for Model T in the Ford plant, and so there's lively discussion about some things, particularly the rear end/differential. Seems everyone agrees wheels and front axle aren't correct. All said, though, a very nice example of an early T. The owner sounds very reasonable, saying that the closest offer to $20K takes the car.....and hopefully someone from one of the forums gets the car. Best of luck in finding it a good home!! cahartley
Thanks trim........the folks who have expressed interest in this car have made it clear they have NO intentions of "restoring" it........I like that......a lot.......

Guest AlCapone
I sold a 12 two years ago in similar condition for $15,500. It took me 4 months and I was surprised that there were lots of tire kickers and very few buyers. Good luck!Wayne
cahartley
Wayne........while some were attempting to pick the car apart over what was correct and what wasn't...... ........the car was purchased by one of THE foremost Model T authorities in the country........and he is tickled to pieces with it.Enough said.......I think....... trimacar
Thanks Larry...I've owned about 200 cars, never a T, and only two A's....but have been following early T prices and it's interesting to say the least...the T guys are experts, and can tell you about to the month when a piece of a car was made, and of course to the day on dated items...but there's also a lot of counterfeit T stuff out there, later blocks made to look very early and so forth...if that darned ship out at sea would just come into my dock, I'd be looking for an early one...This car did go to an early T expert, who didn't have a '12, and is very pleased with it as mentioned... Larry Schramm
Trimacar, I did not see you at the dock as I am waiting for my ship to come in also. Some day I might buy a T, but need to get my current stuff running. As for the T guys knowing to the month when a part was built, they are amazing. Unbelievable depth of knowledge. I am in awe of what some of them know.
