Pete Phillips
In need of a good Turbo-Hydramatic transmission for a 1964 LeSabre. Had mine rebuilt and it won't hold pressure--internal crack somewhere--has stumped my transmission rebuilder and hurt my wallet, and it still won't pull the car. My understanding is that the '64 version is unique; '65 and later are different, and of course '63 and earlier are Dynaflows. Any leads appreciated. Yes, I know about CTC Auto Ranch nearby, but I'm not going to pay their prices.Pete Phillips, BCA #7338Leonard, Texas
1965rivgs
Pete, Are you seeking a Super Turbine 400 or a 300? Tom Mooney
Pete Phillips
400. It has three forward speeds but only two forward settings on the transmission quadrant--that's one of the things that makes the '64 unique.
John
Will a 400 from a 64 Riviera, Wildcat or Electra work?
