stakeside
I replaced my seats for my 29 DB truck. My springs were so bad I choose to use a wood base with high density foam. The base is 3/4" plywood with 3/4" white oak edging. I am quite pleased with the out come.I used cardboard template for base size and seat thickness. stakeside
Where did you get that done and if you dint mind me asking, how much did it cost for the foam?I had them done in Roseville CA at Roseville upholstery. I believe any shop could do this type of work.I provided the seat base and templates. The total cost was $460. Not sure about the cost of the foam but it was about half the cost. After checking on the foam cost it became clear that I should just have a professional handle the job.and Yes they are very comfortable.
MikeC5
Thanks for the info. That sounds like it is a good alternative to new springs.
