Trulyvintage
Dropped off a Brazilian Ventura yesterday in Arroyo Grande, CAand noticed the dreaded water pump leak under the truck ... So I spent the night hereNice place .... Well I had to change out my water pump today which is about a four hour job on my truck .... Autozone lifetime warranty pump but their fan clutch removal tool loaner kit is a joke ....Last time I did this - I bought a nice NAPA set on their loaner tool program - but NAPA here has no tool loaner program .... So I checked out CARQUEST - they had a heavy duty (10) piece fan clutch tool kit for $152.00 If you return it within (7) days there is a full refund given - worked great .... Got a relatively cheap room for (3) more nights while I wait for a car to haul outta here ... Probably ride my bike to the beach tomorrow ... RansomEli
Things to do:1. Go to the beach2. Have a tequila lollipop with the worm inside. The company is based in Pismo3. Have clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl4. Ride or take the bus to San Luis Obispo. Lots of things to do there.5. Make sure you get some genuine Santa Maria Style BBQ. Tri-tip or Beef Ribs. I prefer the Ribs.

Bleach
Was the Ventura a kit car based on a VW chassis and air cooled engine or was it one of the more "refined" versions with a water cooled engine?I think you can still drive out onto the beach. It's quite a nice experience. Edited April 11, 2014 by Bleach (see edit history)

If your overnight in Paso the best food in town is Chico's Cafe, and that's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If you go, say hi to Chico and tell him Don & Nancy from Prescott said hi as well!
