Buicks in Hot Rod

The Hot Rod I received today has a couple of things Buick. The issue is 0414 and has a Hemi on the cover. Page 28 has a rehash of a match race between a 1970 GS and a '70 Plymouth GTX hemi........... the Buick beat the Plymouth by half a second in the quarter.

On page 30 an article about the Daytona Speedway has a picture of a 1960 Buick convertible "pacing" the 1960 Daytona 500.

Street Rodder mag has a super duper 54 Buick custom vert pictured in the new copy I received today.

Mr. Earl won't like that they cut off the rear fender up-sweep/fin. I would have to see it in real life B4 I can comment.

Barney, that was NOT the only GS vs. Hemi race that happened in later life. Not all results were "as presented", unfortunately.

Thanks for the info Willis..... in my younger years, I knew almost nothing about Buicks. My family only owned Chevys and some friends had Fords. I only remember one friend who's family owned a Buick. My first Buick was a 10 year old 1955 Special 2 door, purchased as a second car, it was another 20 years before I owned another Buick.
