FrankWest107
Is this a car that is almost impossible to find parts for?
Rusty_OToole
Terraplane is a Hudson product. Hudsons are well supported by their fans. Look below in the Hudson section, I am sure you can find what you need.
Jon37
Any make of car built in 1933 will be relatively more difficult to find parts for (than others of that era), because the years 1932-33 were the depth of the Depression. Except for a couple of items, most mechanical and chassis parts can still be found for the 1933 Essex-Terraplane (if you look in the right places), and several individuals or companies are rebuilding or reproducing items like fuel pumps, clutches, carburetors and various engine components, as well as some body parts (mostly rubber gaskets and a few metal castings). New body parts (and even good used body parts) will be extremely scarce. Fortunately, compared to 1933 Hudsons (just over 2,000 produced in 1933) Terraplanes are abundant (almost 57,000 passenger cars in 1933). Besides looking in the normal places (Hemmings Motor News and Ebay) you can find parts and technical information at the H-E-T Club's website and in the pages of its bi-monthly magazine, The White Triangle News. And there is a strong (though not enormous) network of Hudson owners to offer assistance to their fellow enthusiasts. However, if you're a beginner in the world of 1920's-1930's auto restoration, nothing can beat the ease of finding parts for a Model-A Ford or a 1930's Chevy. One of those cars would present much less of a challenge to someone who is new to owning an automobile of that earlier era.
