Guest fiftyv8
I have a set of window garnish trim/mouldings that I would hope somebody could ID for me.I dont even know if they are from an American car.:confused:All I have as far as info goes is that they are from a 4 door car with the extra 1/4 window at the back similar to a 34 ford 4 door sedan and the year range could be mid 1930's if we had to take a guess.Thanking you in anticipation. Dave Mellor NJ
At least you get your money back if it can't be identified.
Guest fiftyv8
Great, what a relief, I thought my money was gone for good.Maybe I need to offer cash for the correct answer. You know I posted these pic's on my hot rod forum and got over 900 hits with no luck and was told this AAA forum was the best place to post and get a quick reply.I am just wondering if folks are really trying or just sightseeing. With all the age and experience I suspect is on this forum I just can not understand how an answer is so elusive. If I dont find out what they belong to, I figure I'll just throw the whole set out in the trash. Not knowing what they belong to makes them just as useless and if they were trashed in my book. That would be a crying shame for us old car folks!Keep trying for now please folks... Curti
They are from a 30's car, possibly eastern Europe. If so, it makes the parts difficult to ID and even more difficult to sell. I suggest putting them out on a table at Hershey with a sign. I have had parts ID'D that way.
keiser31
1933 Buick is similar....
Guest fiftyv8
So I guess, it could be Buick, but a slightly earlier model say late 1920's or ealier 1930's.The set I have are from a 4 door sedan with teh rear 1/4 windows.Sounds like we are getting warm then... Pete K.
Not earlier Buick. not 1929-1931. Edited October 8, 2013 by Pete K. (see edit history)
Guest fiftyv8
The closest so far is 1933 Buick sedan which looks about right but we are just not 100% sure...
