Guest Magoo
This is a must-see when you are in Detroit: National historical landmark and top Motor City gearhead destination, the Ford Piquette Avenue plant. Birthplace of the Model T Ford, among other things -- there's a ton of history packed into this little factory. Great cars, expert tour guides. dei
I highly recommend it too. Went there with our Car Club and the cars displayed there are fantastic. Not only just Ford cars. They are doing a wonderful job trying to preserve the past.

When I spotted this thing, I did a double-take and nearly walked into a post. Can't wait to show it to my old man the Model T guy...
Larry Schramm
I have been there for a club meeting / dinner with my wife and it was a great stop. The place just oozes history from the building.

Guest Art Anderson
I'd love to see that. Think I'll start hunting!I wonder if that 4WD was built by the individual in Kansas City, Missouri who also produced several front-wheel-drive Model T conversions in the early 1920's? Someplace in my books on the Miller race cars of the 20's (Harry A. Miller produced the first successful front-drive race cars for competition at Indianapolis and on the legendary board (wooden) superspeedways that dotted the US in the 20's). Hamlin was the man's name, IIRC.Art Anderson
