Old26Buick
I'm putting my clutch back together on the 26 Buick Standard. Should I use any type of grease on input shaft of trans., the flywheel hub or on the teeth on both out side and inside of clutch discs?? It seems real dry. thanks for any help. Leif Holmberg
I don`t think they have had any kind of grease or oil on the teeth from the beginning, just becuse if the clutch will be worm or hot the grease or oil will be on the clutch disces. But at the end of the input shaft you need some grease, you can put that grease in the fly wheel center just to know there will be staying in place. Guest morerevsm3
anti seize on gearbox splines is a good idea, not so much that it will throw off though
dibarlaw
I have read that some installers recomend a light application of powdered graphite on the spilnes. I was going to do that on my 1925-25'sclutch hub guides since mine is still sticking. Larry
