Rusty_OToole
I have a 49 Chrysler with a sun visor in my driveway. Today a stranger stopped and offered to buy the sun visor. I'm considering the idea but don't know how much they are worth. The car is basically a parts car, too far gone to restore. The sun visor is in decent shape but the paint weathered and peeling a a couple of small cracks about 1" long at the corners. It is made of aluminum with a chrome stripe in the middle. auburnseeker
You seem to see them sell for between $100 for a decent visor that needs a little TLC all the way to $250 for a super Nice Fulton with all the hardware and nice chrome. Check ended auctions on Ebay. That will give you an idea of what your particular visor is worth.
Dave Mellor NJ
That's good advice from the seeker. I had one a few years ago that I sold for $175, down from $200.Good luck.
Guest bkazmer
A factory option visor is worth more than a Fulton. Factory ones typically curve on the edges and don't need adjustment.
Guest billybird
The immediate value of a sun visor depends on whether the sun is shinning or not. Just kidding. Sounds like it could be an easy 100+ for you. I had a friend once who had a 57 Ford 4 door. A guy came by one day and wanted to buy a few parts as he was restoring a 2 door. My friend offered to sell him the entire car for 500.oo. He refused but kept comming back buying one oart at a time. Ended up buying 1500.oo in parts and could have had the whole car for 500.oo. I'm saying the guy may be back and want other parts.
Rusty_OToole
Doubt he will need any other parts, my car is a 49 and his is a 48 Chrysler (completely different). The one on my car seems to be adjustable to fit different width bodies so it is probably aftermarket.
