Trey
When I press the brake pedal, I feel a high frequency vibration in the brake pedal, but the car does not slow down. After about two seconds, then the brakes start feeling kind-of-normal and the car slows down. Is this indicative of a bad accumulator, or something else? Barney Eaton
Go to www.reatta.net and www.reattaowner.com and do the brake test. If the pump turns on with the first push of the pedal, it is probably the accumulator. But check some of the other test..... a bad pressure switch (with trigger points off or not working) can cause problems.
Ronnie
Both the accumulator and the pressure switch are available in The Reatta Store if you need one.
Guest Mc_Reatta
Are red or yellow brake warning lights coming on?When's the last time the fluid was changed, and how old are the flexible brake lines?
Trey
My yellow brake light is on. I just received the accumulator in the mail from Amazon. I have not changed the brake fluid since I bought it about 6 months ago. Also, I'm not sure how old or flexible the brake lines are; however, I did the accumulator test and it seems to be bad, so I went ahead and got one off Amazon. I will keep you updated with my progress.
