Paul Falabella
Cannot find the bolt securing compressor to intake manifold after removing to replace wires. Cannot find description in parts book. Anyone offhand know what kind of bolt this is? Does not look like an oddball but looks too important to leave off. Thanks
old-tank
3/8"-16...about 1.5" long (if I have to pull one of mine to actually measure it will cost you extra)...flat washer, lock washer, bolt.Willie

smithbrother
Might depend on whether the original had embossed marking on top, and the HD is smooth. MAYBE.Dale in Indy

smithbrother
Sounds like you are JUST having fun, FUN IS GOOD!I just cleared out my garage/shop so tomorrow I can take the 41 Limited down from wheel casters, and back it out.Going to start new thread next week, DO IT YOURSELF WINDSHIELD INSTALL with pictures of the former pinch weld rust, and after a fixin.I have all new Steele rubber, and good sealants. The painter installed WITHOUT any sealants, so it leaked. That was in 1995.Dale in Indy Edited July 11, 2012 by smithbrother (see edit history)

If it is plated, the finish will go away on the head from the heat , but the threads will release later. Also original exhaust manifold bolts are very brittle...I have broken as many installing as removing.Willie
