Restorer32
Does anyone have experience with exhaust manifolds that have been Jet Hot coated? Does the finish approximate natural cast iron? Will it prevent rust and if so for how long? Thanks!
Durant Mike
restorer32 I had my 1971 Triumph TR6 exhaust manifold done by jethot about 8 years ago and it still looks great, no signs of rust or flaking. I had mine done in a black color and will be doing it for my 1928 Durant when the time comes. The ceramic coating seems to last and last.

It can be touched up without showing.Good stuff.1918 Dort
edinmass
19 years and 18k miles on my 36 V-12 Pierce and they still look like the day they were installed. I would not use anything else. Ed
Owen_Dyneto
I had my 34 Packard exhaust done by JetCoat about 8 years ago and it still looks great. But at that time there was no option for a color approximating fresh cast iron. If that's what you want, the Eastwood stainless steel high temp manifold paint gives a great cast iron appearance and should look serviceable for many years. Restorer32
We have always used the Eastwood stainless coating but have had issues with it rusting thru in some spots. Owner of the vehicle is intolerant of even the tiniest speck of rust.
