What a great video, and a great piece of 1960 GM history, although they made the assembly process look like a piece of cake!

But also great because according to my calculations, that Invicta was averaging 4 mpg - and my '60 Electra gets almost three times that!!

(yes I know - 4 mpg at 120 mph...)

Averaging 120mph is really chugging along!!!

I remember reading about this when they did it in 1960. My dad had bought a new 1960 Invicta 4 door hardtop in December 1959. I wasn't old enough to drive , this was the car I took my driving test in in 1961. We drove the car 4 years and it was one tough car. I wish I still had it. It was the first car we ever owned with air-conditioning. He traded it for a 1964 Wildcat 4 door hardtop custom.
