Aaron65
I believe (I had mine all apart 4 years ago) that oil just squirts out the top of the rocker toward the valve...It's generally not a ton of oil, just enough to hit the valve...
Rusty_OToole
Some cars have a hole in the rocker that is supposed to squirt oil towards the valve. At idle the oil just oozes out. Rev the engine up and it flies off the rocker arm. If oil is getting to the rockers it will slop around and get on the valves don't worry about that. When driving down the road everything will be covered in oil.The real worry is oil going down the valve stems and burning, once the engine gets worn. junkyardjeff
The 235 in my 37 Chevy has holes on top of the rockers and none at the tips and its quiet now so the tips must be getting some oil.
