DSpringer
Is the "Bonsalls" book that has the production numbers "The Lincoln Motorcar Sixty Years of Excellence"? It's available at Amazon. peecher
YES, that's the book. It has lots of good info on all Lincolns from 1920 to 1980.
Guest Jim Zephyr
James Bonsall here - Jeff I asume you are interested in ragtop prodution for 38 39 40 41 Zephyr Convertibles?1938 L-Z type "740" four door - 461 made, type "760" two door - 600 made1939 L-Z type "74" four door - 302 made, type "76" two door - 638 made1940 L-Z type "76" only with 700 made1941 L-Z type "76" only with 725 madeI have not researched the reason the four door was dropped in 1940perhaps it was a combination of the limited production and the introductionof the Lincoln-Zephyr Continental in 1940 that sealed its fate. Anyone know more? Is it a pain to put the top down in those "flagships" ? hmmm...
