It is about 4 inches long and fits a 1 ¾ inch inside diameter hose.. The unit with the hoses attached is about 8 inches long. It has a smaller fitting a hose about ¾ of inch inside diameter. There is a dial in the middle that turns about 350 degrees with the words “HIGH” and “LOW” on the top Inside one side is a butterfly valve and the other side looks like a thermostat. Check out the photos and let me know if you need a different angle. I will post it on the FOR SALE forum should someone be interested. Anyone want to make an estimate on its value.
Larry Schramm
Could be an aftermarket thermostat. I have one similar to it in the garage in the original box.
huptoy
Is there a date on the box? Did instructions come in the box?
Guest De Soto Frank
Is that stub of pipe 90* from the knob a connection nipple for a heater ?Looks pretty nifty !
huptoy
My guess is that it would connect to the heater. If I am wrong, someone please please speak up and correct me.
Larry Schramm
Huptoy,Here are some pictures of the thermostat that I have. It is a NAPA NA2 thermostat made by the Bishop & Babcock Mfg Co. No date. It is for a universal hose line without heater connection. It appears that yours has the heater outlet with temp (flow) control. Hope the pictures help. Mark Shaw
Larry's appears to be an in-line unit; the original post appears to be a bypass unit. The side outlet should be connected to a return line back to the block.
aacalifeer
Huptoy; An interesting thermostat. How much are you wanting for it? Bring along with you on Saturday......
