jmcap
Recently acquired a 62 Starfire 394 with slim jim transmission. What is the little metal can shaped container with what appears to be a curved metal tubing on the top of it. It's mounted above the tranny dip stick on the passenger side at the rear of the engine. Manuals did not provide the answer. Need to know name/purpose/ and if it requires vacuum, where is it routed from. Thanks<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

(just kidding)And for those who wonder, it is part of the automatic trans vent tube, not a vacuum canister.
