Joseph44
Hi Everyone: This is my 1st post, I'm starting to restore a 1983 electra prk aveit has all the bells and whistles really in good shape. The work to be done is really nit pickin items. My problem is with all that is on it would thinking of ordering a 1983 shop manual. I really don't like Chiltons or any other repair manuals not very much information. What would this forum recommend? I also need a good place for parts nothing major I want this as original as possible. Thanks in advance.
Thriller
I can't speak to the year for certain, but I would check eBay for original manuals. There is potential for there to be a body service manual as well as a chassis service manual (at least that is how they did it in years prior).Good luck. dship
I agree w/ Thriller..ebay is a good source for your manual. I'd also suggest you go to books4cars.com and autolit.com.

Guest my3buicks
I don't know if they still had them in 83, but a year specific parts manual is instrumental in restoration work.
Joseph44
Thank you for that thought I put in a bid on ebay for a 83 buick manual. I appreciate your input !!
Rawja
I can confirm that the body service manual is indeed separate from the factory service manual in 1983. The body service manual will not be brand or model-specific, so look for GM body service manual from 1983.
