keiser31
A friend of mine has this trunk for sale. I have seen these on '29 Hudsons, '29 Chryslers, '31 Studebakers, '31 Chryslers, '32 Chryslers and various other high class cars. He is asking $350.00. It has the fold down front. I believe one lock mechanism is either broken or missing a part. It has the leather side straps. It is located in southern Oregon.
F&J
Also it is the same as my 32 Nash conv sedan. Drop panel version is for sidemounted cars, and they made one without the drop for rear mounted spares on the Nash.
keiser31
Here are some more photos and information about the trunk. It seems that one latch and catch assembly on one side is missing a part or two. The metal is solid and the handles are there, but need some fixing. There is some sort of tar or paint on it, but is easily removed. The aluminum strips across the top are slightly crimped. The length of this trunk is 36". The depth is 18" and the height is 19 1/2" to the top of the "hump". There is no key with it. alsfarms
Hello,I may be interested in this trunk. I do need to see a close shot of the "crimped" top trim and have identified exactly what parts are missing, plus the key. Does it have any provision for anchoring to the trunk rack? Thanks, Alan
keiser31
I will post photos of the crimped trim and the bottom tomorrow when it is light out. There are some bolts and washers through the bottom wood base. Here are the crimped trim pieces. The photos tomorrow will be better.
