Guest ZombyWoof
Came across this cable in my parts bin. It's 18 inches long. Any clues as to what it is? (I have close-ups of each end if that helps.)I'm guessing I may have acquired an extra heater/defroster type cable somewhere along the way.Hopefully it doesn't hold the brakes together... RivNut
I'm guessing it's the cable that controls the heater valve on a '63.
CTX-SLPR
Heater valve cable, can tell by the red end. There are 2, 1 from the dash control to the louver and 1 from the louver to the valve on the inner fender. That's probably the dash to louver one. RivNut
On a '63, the heater control valve is on the firewall, not on the inner fender as found on the '64s. There is a whole bundle of these cables on a '63 that control all functions of the heating and a/c. The electrical switch for the fan motor is found on the inner fender of a '63 and it too is controlled by one of these types of cables.
Jim Cannon
Sorry, guys, but you are all wrong...I recognized that right away as the tilt column turn signal actuator cable.ZW, if you do not have a tilt column, and therefore do not need this, I would like to buy it from you. I need one. Mine is broken...
