Guest windjamer
Im helping with restoration of 58 vett. The headlite bezels do not fit flush with the stanless strip on top of the fender. They raise about a 1/8 -1/4 in. above the strip. Is this normal? You folks with a 58, do your bezels raise above the stanless strip? If so its pis8 poor designe by GM. DizzyDale
Dear Dick,To answer your two questions....yes and yes.Same deal with my 62,you can do some tweaking to make em BETTER.Talked to a guy who had a Top Flight 62 and his were the same and he also told me he had a 62 in 62 and they were bad from the factory.diz
earl e rizer
I second that reply. I don't recall ever seeing them fit anywhere near flush, except on an over restored trailer queen with a very anal owner
Guest Skyking
I guess Corvettes didn't get any better in the late 60's either. My son restored two 67's and had to reshape the door opening to fit the doors properly.
