Guest Mark Golding
Last weekend I was driving my bus to a Fireman's parade in NY when the clutch arm and Bridle Box broke. British term for bearing carrier in the clutch. I need a new arm the one I have is in 3 pieces. does any one know of anyone else that might have a bus like mine???? I know it's a long shot but just maybe someone knows of one or someone with an engine from one. the engine type is a Gardner 6LW with a Bristol 4 speed transmission. I would buy the entire engine and transmission if need be. The Bus will be at Hershey again this year. Come see it and have a chat. Thank You again for any help you can give me. The Bus is a 1962 Bristol Lodekka FSF 6 G serial number 179009 the transmission is a 4 speed Bristol transmission I figured by my the picture on my posts all would know this bus. There's a local welder here in Northern VA who's outstanding at welding cast iron, mainly from repairing farm equipment. Drop me a line if I can help. Guest 49 New Yorker
Have you tried thE Bristol Vintage Bus Group in the UK ? Worth a visit on bvbg.org.UK/Bristol parts
Guest Mark Golding
I have tried everyone I can think of in the UK , Austrialia, Scotland, Germany, Greece and a few other countries. I guess no one has spare parts for the clutch. I decided to rebuild the parts I have then make molds for having new parts made . If I have this problem I wonder how many others have gone through this in the past. and how many will need part in the future. Thanks for everyone's help.
