Anyone recognize these engine parts?

I am continuing to put my jigsaw puzzle motor back together. I found these and am stumped. Anyone recognize these?

The first thing that comes to mind is, those ain't no engine parts.

They may have been in the jar of parts that you are working from but they didn't originate from the engine. Certainly not OEM.

On another note... thanks for posting a picture. All would have been hard pressed to divine a mental image from a text description.

That's exactly right. Commonly used on Harleys to pinch off the tank-to-tank gas hose when removing the tanks.

If you don't want them, I'm interested.

Wow. I feel better about myself now. I was stumped and actually thought that they did not belong. The chrome finish was the hint. Think I will keep them for now.

they might have been clamped on to the pcv valve plumbing by someone trying to save gas money... this would not have been smart because it would have caused a pressure problem within the engine block, that usually will blow out a rear main seal or a valve cover gasket.
