36 dodge frame

can anyone tell me if a 35 dodge frame and firewall are identical to a 36 dodge? I beleive they are both 116" wheelbase. I've allready bought some parts that won't help me and i don't want to do it again.

I looked over various part entries in a 1937 Motors Flat Rate Manual and while some DU/D2 components have the same OEM numbers I see others such as axles, springs, steering and shocks that do not.

I'm sure you would want to see the frames side by side to make your own comparison.

According to my master maintence manual the frames are different. Send me your email and I will scan the pictures you need and will see the differences.

I have a strong feeling that body/frame construction was changed in 1936.

thanks to all who answered, i received the pictures and the # of differences amazed me. i'm still wondering about the firewall though. hwellens you might be interested to know that the car i'm trying to save has that xtra feature you mentioned in your email.
