Lindsaysdad
My Reatta AC works until the engine fan cycles off, then the AC shuts off. I shut off the car, restart it and the AC works until the engine fan cycles off again and off goes the AC.... What or where should I be trouble shooting? Barney Eaton
There is something goofy going on and you need to track it down.If you do not have a service manual, go to www.reatta.net and look at the on line manual.Go to section 1C "Climate Control Diagnosis"Find the chart that has your problem and do the diagnostics

Ronnie
Does the AC work normally when you at speed on the highway? Try not turning on the AC until you get up to highway speed and then turn it on. That way you are not depending on the fan to cool the AC condenser in front of the radiator. If the answer is YES, the puller fan may not be coming on when the AC comes on as it should. If the fan is not running and cooling the condenser, the compressor head pressure will get too high and cause the high pressure switch to will open and the compressor will be turned off.I suspect the puller fan is not running for some reason and causing the problem you are having. Lindsaysdad
The AC works normally as long as the puller fan is on. The puller fan will not stay on as it should the entier time that the AC is on. If I have the engine good and hot the AC and puller will stay on. But as soon as the engine is cool enough the puller fan shuts off and the AC will shut down again.
