Truly and Dave:
I am sure the price differential is because the heating oil is not subject to motor fuel taxes. If the State and feds know you are buying heating oil and using in your diesel truck on public roads they would be a few degrees less than happy. Also there might be some stiff fines invlolved.
Partly true ....
#2 on road diesel rose to $4.15 a gallon today
So, that is a 65 cent plus savings there
#2 off road/farm/heating oil averages $3.50 a gallon or higher
So, that is a 55 cent or greater savings there

Awesome, bookmarked!
Jim, do happen to know if they sell and or fill by the 55 gal drum?
Call ahead ...
They will fill any size container
Jim

Tip I will pass along ...
This company @ Biodiesel Sales
is selling on road #2 diesel currently at $3.52 a gallon
and off road diesel/fuel oil at $2.95 a gallon.
They are located in Miamisburg, Ohio.
I ran across them & filled my pickup tank on Friday ....
I know this is biodiesel but if your heating oil tank stays above freezing,
that is 50 cents or more a gallon savings .....
I don't think they deliver - but they have 250 gallon on up transfer tanks
on skids they rent or let you use to transport ....

Companies that do not sell a tangible product that exist in cyberspace
derive their intrinsic value from ' internet hits ' ...
Any site that offers internet advertising calculates ' ad space ' based
on the number of ' internet hits '
An outdated form of determining where adverisers should put their money
Craigslist is somewhat unique in that ad space is not allowed,
but the market value of the site is directly tied to ' internet hit ' counts
Craigslist shuts down internet search engine sites because the routing
of the ' internet hits ' is not controlled by CL
Pure economics folks ....

So ....
Every morning this happens ....
What you are describing is aggressive driving which carries enough
points to immediately suspend/revoke a drivers' license ....
Weaving thru traffic - speeding - tailgating ...
Why don't you get a plate number & call Highway Patrol
tomorrow or when you see him next ?

Great Thread
If you look at the CL ad pictures ,
This " incredible find " is on a ratty looking car trailer

Interesting to see how hauling is handled in other countries ....

What do you want?
The cheapest price ?
Most folks do - nothing wrong with that - so they shop around for the cheapest price - which usually involves a transport broker
The broker offers low prices - usually on behalf of someone else - someone
who you may not want to haul your car or truck
The broker takes a deposit - usually by credit card - for their services
when you book with them
Independent customer feedback across the board averages 70% to 80%
satisfaction for an average broker facilitated auto transport
By Contrast
Whether you own a project vehicle or a concourse car,
I can safely transport it in my enclosed trailer
I drive daylight hours at 55 m.p.h. averaging 300 to 400 miles a day

No deposit required
Soft ties to the axles or frame
I am not a broker
I transport
So, if you own a vehicle that needs a ride .......

Thank you for the video. It's wonderful!!
But listening to you breath hard walking around is scary..... Please take care of yourself. We'd all like to see more of these collections in the best of America.
Thanks for your concern ....
But - I shoot videos with my cellphone and is right by my mouth
What you hear is normal breathing when I am walking
Uh .....
Walking by that blonde farmgirl dressed like Daisy Mae

dbirchmire said:I pull with a Ford F-350 crew cab dually. Would not pull with anything else. Very stable on the road. With the V-10 engine , it will pass everything but a gas station. It is also my bad wheather vechicle. Have pulled with 3/4 ton single axle trucks and did not feel safe when it was windy and when tractor trailers passed me. Came close of being sucked into one once.
Dave ...
You drive an F350 dually AND you have the Mustang pictured ?
I'm not jealous

jrbartlett said:What are your opinions on the merits of dual-wheel vs. single-rear-wheel heavy duty pickups for towing big classic cars? I am in the market for a new tow vehicle to pull 10,000+ pounds of car and trailer. I currently use a conventional Class 5 hitch mounted on a extended cab long-bed F250.
What you are pulling determines what you use to pull with and stop with
Common sense that is often overlooked
Only you know what the maximum combined weight rating
for both trailer & vehicle(s) will be .....
Start with that total - add 20% - then go from there
My personal preference - based upon full time towing day in & out
in all weather & road conditions imaginable ....

Ground moisture plus acid from the coal burning plants plus years
of sitting outside equals not a lot of interest
VW's are relatively light for the size - not much scrap value either

C'mon guys .....

Yes - hard to believe but ths Pierce had the very first:
Rooftop rv ac unit

A few years ago I was dropping off a vintage trailer
It takes a couple hours to unload from my trailer
During that time I locked myself out of my truck (3) times
The first time I tried to find a magnetic case w/ spare keys
I had hidden on the frame the previous year - wasted a half hour on that
The second & third time someone helped me out which
is really embarrassing when you have to ask twice
By the way has anyone seen my train of thought
I think it derailed awhile back ......
