I just experienced the 3rd fuel pump failure on the 64 Bonneville in 4 years. Does anyone know of a ethanol resistant rebuild kit or a US based custom rebuilder. Previous pumps were off the shelf NAPA (Chinese I assume). Thanks

I admire you motive. I may have misread but my impression is that this was your wife's idea and not yours. Be sure you have bought in 100% because you are making a big commitment. I am also troubled by the comment that you are "old" at 60 and have to work for 10 more years. That doesn't speak positively to the commitment you are about to make. My wife and I have taken in several children/young adults over the years including a medically handicapped and abused 5 y/o. I have had to bail one out of jail who was later found guilty and is probably still in jail Guess who paid the legal fees?Several years ago my wife and I took in a troubled 17 y/o from Iowa and brought him to Florida for his senior year of high school. He was terrible and made our life hell for a year. He had so many accidents and tickets that I gave him a Honda in his own name to get him off my insurance. As soon as he graduated he moved in with a friend and brought the sheriff over to retrieve his possessions. WE never heard another word from him. Sorry to be negative but take time and think this through. Good Luck. I now foster old unadoptable dogs for the local animal shelter.

If someone is looking for a good driver I would jump on this. Owner has to be out of his house in 2 weeks and cannot participate in the sale because of a health problem. I think this is his 3rd or 4th Eldorado and doesn't need anything according to his nephew.

Can we see a photo of the back
I went out to the building to get a photo of the backside. The sign is 12 ft. off the ground and would require moving two cars so we will just assume this is a reproduction

George, thank you for mentioning the condition that is preventing you from being active in the hobby. Many of us are meticulous regarding maintaining our cars but ignore our own health maintenance.

I didn't know the vaccine existed.
Don't know about your individual state but in Texas you can go directly to your local pharmacy for the shots without seeing a Physician. Also ask your pharmacist what other immunizations are recommended for your age group. You do not have to be exposed to someone with shingles to acquire it yourself. Anyone who has has chickenpox carries the latent virus which can be reactivated by multiple factors including stress or anything which effects your immune system negatively. Sorry for getting off topic but I am sure George would agree that shingles is something to avoid.

What a great looking brass touring car. Anyone know what it sold for in 2018?

I believe this 1912 Maxwell is a Maxwell badged 6 cylinder Flanders
Again if my memory is correct the 6 cylinder Flanders originally had a compressed air starter.

My 2003 just turned 242,000 miles with only basic maintaince. If my EMF history is correct Studebaker took over EMF sometime in 1912 and rebranded the remaining cars as Studebaker 20 and 30. Also didn't Flanders produce a big 6 cylinder car in 1912 of which there are no survivors.

Congratulations on a wonderful car and great videos. I see by the Honda Element in the garage that your desire for excellence in automobiles is not new.

Congratulations, always an Oldsmobile fan dating back to a 53 Ninty Eight Holiday that I updated with a 57 J2 coupled to a 37 LaSalle floor shift. My first wagon was a 68 Bonneville Safari followed later by a 73 Chevrolet Caprice Estate wagon followed by a used 76 Oldsmobile 98 wagon. The 78 Mercury Marquis wagon was my last full sized purchase. Station wagons died with the introduction of the Mini-van. Sure wish I would have kept a couple of them, especially the 76 Oldsmobile with the 455.

I can see why it is a favorite. The mounting holes on the Champion Spark Plug raised my suspicion although I purchased it in the mid 80’s when repros weren’t as common. I will take a photo of the back side tomorrow.

Great items. Thanks for sharing. I don’t think I have ever run across those small Mobile banks.
Here is another early porcelain. I am sure the spark plug collectors can date it for me. 12 by 30 SSP. Hard to get out to the collection as today was the 37th straight day over 100 and 17th of 105 or greater. Always suspicious that it was a reproduction but looks great on the wall- 2

I was on the wife's computer the other day and I came across a file labeled "Bobs Obituary" I was kind of disappointed in how short it was. All it said in bold print was BOB DIED, CARS FOR SALE.

They obviously worked in the car warranty business before representing the AACA. Not a positive move IMHO..
