  1. Hi Chuck, the color looks a lot better here in these photos, this will be a very beautiful car when finished. Will you have it done for the nationals in Ohio 2014? ( I'm hoping for a yes here!! ) Steve
  2. Hi Rick, there is a guy on Classic Oldsmobile who purchased a full set of the series 2 (with center bead molding pins) and he is selling the panels he removed, might be what you are looking for. Steve, Jaswest
  3. These are photos of NOS heat riser valves. Both - two bolt and three bolt for single and dual exhaust. I am not sure which one you have on your car so you should be able to figure out if yours is open or closed. Hopefully this helps. Oldskeeper.
  4. Hi Charles, Chequenman is correct in stating that the intakes don't interchange. I have a offenhauser J-2 from a 57 and it doesn't fit any of my 63 394 engines so it sits on my shelf until I get a 57 98 and add it. The changes are slight but enough to give you to much gap and the intake doesn't line up with the intake ports on the heads. The offenhauser manifold is being reproduced now for the 394 and sell for around 400 bucks, I missed one at spring Carlisle that sold for 200 bucks to a guy with a 64 394 in a hot rod from texas. Steve
  5. Hi Pat Did the LH dual exhaust manifold work on the car with column shifter? I am thinking of putting it on my 63 olds 98 conv that has a column shifter,I know it works on floor shifter cars as my custom sport coupe it is a standard option. Thanks Steve
  6. Hi Next week in PA is the OCA nationals and there should be several 62 starfires on the show feild,it might be worth your while to slide down and check it out.I'm sure you will be able to get the correct info about removing the side mouldings and anything else you can think of. I'm going but not able to take one of my cars,so I will have to take pics and talk to other members about their cars and hopefully find the small parts I need to get them back up and running in time for the Canadian show in London. I have a 62 but only use it as a template to check the aluminiun side panels ans don't recall how the mouldings came apart. Steve
  7. Thanks Joe I have been looking in all the wrong places I guess.I have deen calling machine suppliers in my area and no luck, totally forgot about google (still new at this computer thing) Thank again and I'll check them out. Steve
  8. Hi Paul this may be your part I got it from a friend in the chicago area. What I need to know is if I cut a standard thread can the swivel be rethreaded to the standard thread and have enough thread left to hold it in place? The lathe I have is not equipped for single point threading therefore I have to do it with a die everything else I can do. Thanks for your answer Steve
  9. hello everyone I need some help with the linkage on the cruise control.I have been asked by a couple of friends to make them the cruise linkage. My problem is in the thread that goes through the cruise unit, the original thread is not a standard it is 1/4-32 standard thread now is 1/4-28, is the unit or coupling threaded or is it a clearance hole and you hold it in place with lock or jam nuts,if threaded can it be retapped to the standard thread 1/4-28.this is the rod with all the bends i n it that goes to the carb linkage. Thanks for your help here and this should get a few more car options back in working order
