I love the "hose it down and quick take the photos" sales tactic.

"Save it before I ruin it next week!" Interesting and antisocial sales plan. It is a very pretty car though.

Call Craig right now and get the asbestos.

Cool idea but I certainly hope someone did not throw away all the original parts behind that cowl.

I had similar problems years ago on a 32 V-12. Turned out to be mostly ignition and timing issues although the coils also gave me fits. Other issues could be worn cap and rotor or poor synchronization of the dual points. Read the factory service manual, then re-read it, it is designed for a mechanic who already knew most of the steps needed.
If you still have the original carburetors they are probably not working correctly due to pot metal disease. Good luck.

I love these cars but that price is ridiculous for the condition issues he describes.

What Bernie said. Good advice.

That is a Fleetwood Brougham, not a Sedan DeVille. Different door windows, more bright trim, padded roof treatment, fancier interior, rear anti-sway bar, and four wheel disc brakes. Great driver car at a reasonable price but lots of power equipment to malfunction, needs a good inspection.

It took me three tries but I finally found a local O'Reilly store that turned drums. They do have the machines but I needed to find the owner to do it.

Welcome aboard, nice cars!

That is a hell of a deal if it runs and drives.

Neat piece, never saw that brand before. Boyce had plenty of competitors but none remotely close to their market share.

This looks like a great driver at a good price.

Not true, the Olds quarter windows actually have curved rear frames.

Biggest news for 1970 was 500 cid engine - exclusive to Eldorado.
One year only high compression, 400 hp.

Unless the emblem you have is extremely rare, paying for restoration should be the last resort IMO. I've been collecting, buying and selling these for years and there are very many available on Ebay or in Automobilia auctions. You should be able to find a nice example if you shop awhile.

Beautiful original! Does it drive as good as it looks? Would love to see more photos of interior, engine, etc.

The winged part of your emblem is for a 1937 trunk, but the enameled part is from a 1936, that's why it does not fit correctly.

I had that same kit when I was about 14 - 61 years ago! I spray painted it beige and detailed underhood and chassis. I may still have it buried somewhere... Good luck!

I had one of these, they are great drivers with the LT-1 V-8. Obviously the wiring should be your first priority. Common problems are the fuel pump, Optispark ignition distributor, water pump and it's oil seals, and radiator. If it has been sitting a long time flush the entire cooling system and change all fluids and filters. If these cars are maintained they are capable of very high mileage and basic parts are easily obtained. Good luck!

Wow, talk about rare! May be worth the price to an Edsel fanatic, but his definition of "solid" is pretty optimistic if you look at all the photos.
