  1. I have an extra one of these. Crank hole is 9" from the bottom. Does not fit a 151 with a 9 3/4" crank hole distance [Naturally]. EDIT: THIS WAS SOLD TO WALTER MILLER IN 2020 !!
  2. Model A Fords have the Pop-out; but surely you know that; maybe someone else doesn't
  3. tks-believe I have it: change the 'collapsed' to 'expanded' at the top right, then just click on the last one on the staggered replies. Then make the desktop icon shortcut to the expanded subject thread list and not the list by subject. That way you don't have to scroll. Knew there had to be a way~~~ Again thanks for the tip. OR if this is NOT the way you meant, advise.
  4. Peter, what do I click to get the last response in a thread showing first. There is no reason to have to ALWAYS scroll down to the bottom to get the last response. Note: I haven't searched the FAQ, etc. It may be there. Many TKS~~~~ <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
  5. tks,Paul, for this info. Makes me wonder about the club Series 15 & 16 Parts cat. copy I received. Section 22:Shades-Upholstry-Tool Equipt., has nothing in it; nor does Sect 19:Door Locks-Door Hinges-body Fittings; nor does Sect 21: Floor Boards-Floor mats-Tread Plates-Seats & Cushions; nor does Sect 23: Commercial Accessories; nor does Sect 24: Special Shop Tools; nor does Sect 25:Quanity Prices SO---I don't have a picture !!!! Should I have??? tks~~ Richard
  6. Have a heavy-duty jack that came with the car[assume original] but it doesn't have the jack handle with it. This jack works like the lightweight Model A Ford Jacks; is 10" high at lowest point{nested}. The slot that the jack handle fits in is 3/8" wide and 1" high. Certainly no problem on getting a piece of steel like that but I was wondering how long to make it. I know it really doesn't matter (not a purist);but if anyone has an 'original' I would like to know. If this jack is not original then it doesn't matter anyway. The writing on the jack is B3972. Decided to post photo-small jack is Ford Model A. Tks~~~~~ Richard
  7. Wanted: one taillight like this one [whether Franklin or not]; OA diameter is 4 1/4". Thanks Richard
  8. I can imagine that many of you are not aware of this book. I saw about it in Hemmings Classic Car Mag. It is not a Paul or Tom restoration book but is very interesting; a Franklin guy will not want to put it down. looks like you will have to copy and paste the site below. ..................< http://www.amazon.com/Practical-Car-Restoration-Guidebook-Franklin/dp/0786425113 >.............. 9. Attached is a maint chart to print out [on glossy photo paper for best effect] and use double-stick to put up in your garage, etc. Maybe someone has earlier ones to post~~~I don't. Note this is sized 7" x 9" and will appear large on your monitor but should save and print out to that size(or you can make 8x10+) [note for print: use 'landscape']. Richard
  10. Ok, since I am on a roll, here is another one, early owners. It is 2 3/8" x 1 3/16" roughly. Note these do not fall out of the sky--work was reqd to clean up pixel edges and make colors uniform(on all these posts). Don't think this one is for sale either; correct if not so and this post will disappear.
  11. Again Guys, since I have gotten into this habit for some reason: here is a scanned copy of the Franklin Emblem that was [is] on the old spare tire cover that came with my car.Doubt it is '31 vintage but here it is anyway if you need it for something. It is Actual size as scanned [Note the slant of the wording is correct].
  12. Maybe you recently saw the envelope and letter(1929) from Ackerman Motor Car Company, Syracuse,NY--I thought the drawing on each was just super[probably since I have a Vic. Broug.]; so, here it is,adobed some{also made the '29 grill like a later one},to add to whatever correspondence, etc.it is roughly 3"x 4" OA.
  13. The only 8-cyl engines made by Franklin was for powering the flying wing, N9MB; powered by two 300 hp 8 cylinder Franklin 0-540-7 engines. Just type flying wing in Google and glean info. This plane flew in 2004 [last flew in 1945].
  14. Owned by Mr. Runton,in Tombstone !!!
  15. This to advise all that I heeded the advice of Tom in the recent Q&A post on Franklincar.org and ordered a tailpipe for my '31 Victoria 151. It is perfect and came in 3 days. Seems that they have all the Franklin systems programed into their computers(as per Tom);probably because of drawing availablities. They have head pipes, mufflers, and tailpipes; stainless and aluminized steel. (800)-365-5764 Located on the west coast of FL.
