  1. My point about "digging up old bones" refers to when the content has changed to a totally different subject from the title, as in the referenced thread. If I needed information on tire sizes for my 65 I wouldn't look at a car for sale thread. Just my 3 cents (due to inflation).

  2. Case in point - Eric Wolf's thread from May 2010 - For Sale 65 Riv. This thread has excellent information about 65 tire sizes but someone needing this information wouldn't look at a for sale post. Start a new thread. It's easy, fun and correctly identifies the subject the thread addresses. Just my 2 cents worth.

  3. The "identification" of the car is the model number; in this case 76-S. When you tell other Buick people that you have a 48 model 76-S they will both know what you are talking about and will be envious. Buick built 20,542 Roadmaster Sedanets in 1948 plus 107 for export.

  4. I've got the January 1971 printing.

Page 7-20 ends with group 7.460 - valve - diaphram - regulator, automatic level control, 66-71all, part number 5355549, distrubutor arm package. Page 7-21 starts with 66-71 all, part number 3188822, regulator, service package.

Page 7-22 ends with group 7.503, spring, rear chassis, 64, part number 9775963, 4069 Pol. Car Handling, spring. Page 7-23 starts with 64, part number 9773808, 4069-4369 less Pol. car handling & less trailer H.D. spring & less H.D. ride & Exp., spring.

If you can use a copy let me know.

  5. I didn't have a camera with me that day. I have a friend with an anniversary gold Impala who lives about ten miles away. I'll give him a call this week and see if he has dug his car out of storage yet. If he has, I'll get a picture for you.

  6. A couple of weeks ago at a car show with my sahara mist 65, a 63 anniversary gold Impala parked next to me. When by itself sahara mist looks really gold, but there was quite a difference when next to anniversary gold. Sahara mist kind of paled out.

I like the flat look and I admire those who are willing to try something different. Thanks for sharing.
