  1. THIS AD HAS EXPIRED https://dallas.craigslist.org/sdf/cto/d/kennedale-1991-buick-reatta/6853615644.html I have three Reattas for sale - liquidating to fund another project. Will make a package deal. THANKS! Rodney 817-891-8510
  2. 1965rivgs - maybe Ron and I can work out a deal - thanks! KongaMan - yes, very good advice - all of which I know (even though you wouldn't be able to tell it by my ad 😮) unfortunately, I have foot/ankle injuries that limit my mobility at this time - I am getting better, so I will put up a better ad if I decide on relisting it.
  3. Yes, and thank you for your positive comments. I hope that I find someone who will love it. If not, I will just have to sell some of my other projects and re-direct my efforts to this one. It has been a long time sitting and I need to do SOMETHING with it soon. By the way, do you have the rest of that Select Sixty? Interested in any other Reattas? I have several that I will have to sell if I am to refocus on my '63. I have 88-91 coupes and two 90 convertibles. Nothing in great condition, but all rebuildable or good parts cars. Plus, they are ALL under $4,000 each! 😁
  4. I do have GOOD, working hydraulics WITH new lines (not cheap plastic ones, but actual hydraulic lines with all the correct fittings to upgrade the system), the original column, wheel, and linkage. Yes, I do have the front cornering lamps.Yes, there is a hole in the floor for the floor shift. Yes, the leather upholstery is gone (only noted as to the options that the car had, not that it was in good condition). I understand that most folks would not want to spend this much for this much of a project, but I put it out there for the person who might want to that is willing to actually talk to the seller and make an offer, so I invite anyone who has a love for these old 225's to call me with any questions and their offer if they are interested. THANKS!
  5. For the record: 1) I have most (if not all all) of the original parts for it, including bright work AND top hydraulics. 2) The Stage One emblem was put in the grille because the grille was already broken. I have a non-broken grille. 3) The only things that I have really "hacked" are the vent holes in the front fenders and speaker holes in the rear trim panels. 4) The engine is numbers matching but has a spun rod bearing. The block has been bored .060 and the heads have hardened guides and seats to handle unleaded fuel. I do have a spare engine. 5) It is fully optioned as far as I know - auto-on and auto-dimming headlamps, electric drivers seat, electric windows and vent windows, electric top, leather interior, rear-seat speaker, cruise control. The wheels are Kelsey Hayes Magstars - the same style used on Shelbys - they are pretty rare for GM bolt patterns. I do not think that I have the original hubcaps, but might have the original rims and lug bolts that can go with it. 60FlatTop - The statement "serious buyers only" applies to average Craigslist people, who seem to enjoy sending texts at 3 in the morning to ask if it is tagged and inspected (I am NOT joking). It does not apply to someone who is serious about buying it and would like to talk about it. First and foremost I am looking for someone who would love to have it and give it the care I can not. What's the price that would make you interested? I am open to questions, but unfortunately do not have the time to answer 100 questions via text. If you are interested, feel free to call and we can talk. BTW, the pictures were taken at night with a Ryobi light, not a Coleman Lantern 😉 Not wanting anyone to "enrich this dreamer to the tune of $4K to bail him out" - bail me out of what? I'm not sure why you would even say such a thing, I'm just a guy trying to sell a car.
  6. Good to know - looking forward to hearing the details on the Lucerne one. THANKS!
  7. It says that it has a salvage title - I wonder what kind of damage it had.
  8. Is the Lucerne one bolt on or stick on? If it is stick on, it may be able to be recurved (and shortened maybe?) to fit on a Reatta.
  9. Well, I've been busy with a lot of work, but the weather has been so nice, I just had to fix the brakes so that I could drive it more! I had to change the brake pump out. I tried changing the accumulator first, but still had the pump running full time with no fluid level change or pedal change. After changing the pump, all is well with no Brake or ABS lights on anymore! I changed the rear speakers with some Kickers and replaced the radio with a Nesa brand unit that I purchased from a pawn shop for $20 (not a very high-end unit, but it is a DVD double DIN that fits in a single DIN space). I also bought some Kickers for the front, but haven't had the time to swap those out yet. More to come later!
  10. THANKS! Now, I wonder................did it STAY in Texas??????
  11. What? don't like the black/red project? Just remove the chrome "vents", extra emblems, hood scoop, rear spoiler, big chrome rims, and repaint it and it's a real good looking car!
  12. Is that a moustache on the front of it?
  13. Wow, that list did not "paste" well - let me try it again: Constant 12V+ Orange Switched 12V+ Yellow Ground Black Illumination Gray Dimmer Brown Antenna Trigger Pink Antenna Location Right Rear Front Speakers 5 1/4" Doors Left Front (+) Tan Left Front (-) Gray Right Front (+) Light Green Right Front (-) Dark Green Rear Speakers 5 1/4" Rear Wall Left Rear (+) Brown Left Rear (-) Yellow Right Rear (+) Dark Blue Right Rear (-) Light Blue One other thing to note - as wiring ages, sometimes the wiring color does not look like the "original" color. So you might have to look carefully.
  14. This is according to www.the12volt.com - not always 100% accurate, but a good place to start. As far as I remember, the CD is just extra wiring on top of the "regular" wiring (only messed with it once a few years back when I found a remote CD in a Riviera in a junkyard and was going to put in my '90 coupe, but finally wound up using an MP3 player instead) , so if you are removing it, there should be no problems with wiring. Others might have additional details or corrections. Hope this helps! 1988-91 Buick Reatta Stereo Wiring Constant 12V+ Orange Switched 12V+ Yellow Ground Black Illumination Gray Dimmer Brown Antenna Trigger Pink Antenna Right Rear Front Speakers 5 1/4" Doors Left Front (+) Tan Left Front (-) Gray Right Front (+) Light Green Right Front (-) Dark Green Rear Speakers 5 1/4" Rear Wall Left Rear (+) Brown Left Rear (-) Yellow Right Rear (+) Dark Blue Right Rear (-) Light Blue

    my reatta

Sweet ride! What is that paint color called?
  16. As a first-time new car shopper in 1990, I wanted a Buick Reatta. I went to Vandergriff Buick in Arlington, Texas and ALMOST bought a 1990 Maui Blue Convertible with saddle interior (the salesman said that the top was the same color as the interior, but I never saw it, as it was down - the car was inside the showroom). I remember this well, because tan has never been my favorite, but this was the only Reatta convertible that they had. The reason that I did not buy it? It was a hand-built car and had a flaw IN the driver's door paint (nont a scratch or dent, but a small flaw, almost like a buildup of too much paint in a small strip). I asked the salesman to document the flaw, but when I pointed it out to him he said "I did not see that" and refused. He stated that he would not sell the car with a flaw, and that the car was going to go immediately to their bodyshop and the flaw would be "fixed", even if they had to repaint the whole door. I told hm that if they "fixed" it, that I did not want it, because it was not "original". He said that if I did not want it fixed, that he could not help me. After unsuccessfully trying to negotiate with him more, I gave up and left. A day or so later I went with a friend to help him buy a Ford Mustang and I wound up buying a brand new 1990 Ford Probe GT (as fun as it was, it NEVER compared). I now own seven Reattas in various states (including a 90 white/burgundy convertible that I just purchased and my 90 red/grey coupe daily driver that just got totaled by a red-light-runner a couple of weeks ago), but always think back, wishing that I had bought that Maui Blue convertible (even with the tan interior)! I do not know what ever became of that Reatta, never took any kind of pictures, and had no idea what a build sheet or SPI sticker was at the time, but it was there.
  17. I like it! Now, what to do about the hole left where the CD player used to be in mine? I see yours still has it in the console. I guess I could swap out the console panel with the compartment from my totaled coupe. I will have to research the options. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks to everyone, I love community!
  18. Thanks, Kevin! I appreciate the information. I was very careful driving it and understand the Teves system. I have the parts from my totaled 1990 coupe (hit by a red-light-runner) and will fix it soon, as my wife is hinting that she would like to drive it (I love almost seventy degree winter weather in Texas!). I agree that aftermarket sound is the way to go for better sound and flexibility, it is just a bummer to see a gaping hole where the factory CD player was :-(

  21. Oh, by the way - the top is in pretty good shape, and it was actually warm enough to put it down for a little bit!
  22. According to the gentleman that I bought it from, it was one-family-owned. His father bought It brand new in Las Vegas. It went from his father to his sister, and then to him. When I first looked at it, the brake pump was running continuously with the key on, so when I picked it up, I unplugged it to keep it from self-destructing. I drove it 50-something miles home (the Gentleman that I bought it from had already gone through all the fluids and basic maintenance needs, but the power brakes not working was too much for him). I have driven it about 100 miles total so far, and other than no power brakes/ABS (and the smell of old gas), it drove well. It has had the hood and the driver's fender replaced, but upon cursory inspection, I found no structual damage. The factory radio AND CD player have been replaced with a *GASP* aftermarket stereo (done by the daughter), and it's faceplate is missing. I just picked it up this morning, so more details to follow as I get a chance to go over it more. One shocker to me was when I went to transfer the title, the Texas DMV charged me tax on the "Standard Presumptive Value" of $4,880! I was thinking $100 or so TT&L, NOT $300! Another way the government gets what they want of your money, regardless of what you actually PAID for a vehicle. What's next, charging sales tax on what THEY think that your (clothes, tools, hardware) SHOULD cost? I better quit before I give them any more ideas!
  23. Super cool Jimbo59! I have always wondered if anyone would ever do something like this! My daily driver 1990 was recently totalled by a red-light runner (smashed the entire front subframe) and I was thinking hmmmm - full-tube chassis!
  24. I bought the white one in Texas!
