I may have a picture of that car from when it lived in Hamlin, NY about 35 years ago.
It spent time in the Hamptons in Long Island I was told Burnie.

Dave,
Tell us what year model it is. Never remember one with a curved windshield.
I have a cousin with a bunch of them, was President of the Morris Minor Club of the Netherlands.
At the top in the first post, first line I wrote. " 1959 Morris Minor convertible." I can add it is a model 1000 Traveler.

A few more photos. It's very solid with it's original floors. My wife's dad had one a bit older way back when and she has always wanted one. She played in it as a child. It is still around but in a bad state of disrepair. Her brother took it apart and left it outside to rust. A real sore spot in the family and is not discussed as it upsets her dad to no end. The Top secret mission is for her to show up with this car one day soon and give her Dad a ride around the neighborhood in it or let him drive it even if he wishes. He has not been told about it so it should be a very pleasant surprise.

Very cool. Thanks for all your efforts and sharing your vast knowledge Jon. You and your efforts are appreciated. 🙂 🏆 I understand the TV thing. The wife and I have been watching silent flicks with Buster Keeton, Fatty Arbuckle, and Charlie Chaplin lately and totally avoiding main stream trashy TV lately. Guys like Archie Bunker in All in the Family would be thrown off the TV today for his comedy.

Thanks for all the replies folks. Even the funny ones. I'm chasing a few of those Lucas gremlins around. ( I expected nothing less.) Once those are sorted it should have no problem passing inspection. Dandy Dave!

JBP, Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look. These could have been there since it was assembled at the factory. 🙃

I brought home a 1956 Special for my old friend Joe yesterday. He had another at one time and always kicked himself for selling it. I drove it in and out of the trailer. It runs and drives. Needs some TLC. Joe is very attentive to details. He will get everything just right in time. It's claim to fame, it was in the recent West Side Story movie.

I also have trailer parking. Need to get it parked on Thursday. Do they have a list? Or do I need a pass? And where is it located?

I have not received anything yet for displaying the White. Is it just around the corner? Or lost in the unreliable US mail?

Looking to meet up with old friends and to make a few new ones. Look for the old White Truck on the show field on Friday. I have been adding some White sewing machine stuff to a display on the back of the White if anyone has anything. Even old rusty ones as long as they're made by White. Books, ads, what have you. I'll be wandering the flea market field on Thursday. Also could use a patinaed running board for the drivers side if there's one out there.

Nice old Ryerson Lathe. Never heard of them before. Did they become Cincinnati Machine tools? I did make a gear for an old Cincinnati Milling machine once. Glad to see you have the car and transmission back together. Sweet deal. May it give you many trouble free and fun miles.

Looks like a 1928- 29 Dodge.

That's why no additional cars have come to live on HydraMatic Drive. The cost of building something to keep them in and the added real estate taxes convince me I have enough.
Course a wiser man would have built a 40x70 instead of a 36x50 in the first place!
40 X 70 is too short in my opinion. Some of the Vintage vehicles are 20 foot long give or take and you want room to walk around them. It is too tight when you double park them. 50 X 100 would be a lot more user friendly. 😁

Or putting it on backwards.
That one I never done. LOL. Sounds like a touch of Dyslexia going on there.

I am understandably biased, because I have early Buicks. I suggest you actually ride or drive early ford Model T & Model A cars and compare them to early Buicks, Chryslers, & Cadillacs before you decide to buy an early car.
Model T Fords have there place. But I do agree. I would not trade my 1915 Buick for 10 of them. My wife says Buick should have made Living Room couches as a side line every time she rides in it with me. This is one of the reasons I bought the Buick. When I sat back in the seat I said to myself, "I could tour in this for hours."

Sounds about right JD. I've done a few stupid things like that sometimes. Like forgetting to put the nut on a brake or fuel line before flaring it. 🙃😜

The wiring harness is safe and sound at Rhode Island Wiring Service. https://www.riwire.com/
Should have it back in 6 to 8 weeks.

Because New York State is greedy and all registered cars need one to be on the road. The Guys at the inspection station usually laugh when I bring the 1915 Buick. Check the brakes on the right front wheel and sure enough there aren't any there just like it came from the factory. You pass. Here's your sticker. 10 bucks please.
