  1. I will be there Friday morning 7am. Meeting up at the Breakfast. Alex
  2. Is there any Address for the actual show? Something I can punch in on my GPS as I'm coming from New York and I'm unfamiliar with the area. Thanks
  3. 48Super, Interesting. Thank you very much.
  4. Does anyone know if 1947 Roadmaster Power (Hydraulic) seat tracks are the same as 1950 ones?
  5. turns out the seat tracks were from a 1950 Buick 4 door. I'm still trying to find out if the 2dr Power seat tracks are the same as the Manual tracks, if any of you know? Thanks
  6. I'm looking for a set of Power 2Dr 1950 Buick roadmaster seat tracks. A guy has them, but believes they are Manual. Are the Power tracks the same as the manual ones? I have the framework that holds the hydraulic piston, but I still need the tracks. Thanks.
  7. Good question. I wondered the same thing. I have gold colored paint on the recessed stainless" Roadmaster" trim under the side windows, and black paint on the" BUICK" bumper mustash. Was thinking it should be Red as earlier cars had red painted on chrome trim, but don't know.
  8. Bob, Lucky for us that so many parts interchange for so many years to help us all restore this stuff. Not like today where they make parts fit 1 model and for only 1 year!
  9. I'm faced with the same problem. The seats from my 50 Roadmaster Convert were missing when I got it. (Later Caddy seats were in it's place). So I did my resarch and found that the front Seat was the same as a Buick Super, 50 Cadillac and 50 Oldsmobile (2Dr Only). The Rear Seat from the 2Dr cars mentioned however were narrower and a section would need to come out. One interesting note was that the Roadmasters of 1950 had a folddown center armrest in the back seat. The Convertibles did not however due to the seat being too narrow. Too bad, as I like those fold down center armrests.
  10. Looks great Pete. Looks like it's still wet with that shine!
  11. Came out nice. My favorite part is assembling all the chome, lights, etc after it was painted. Have fun.
  12. I read that article. Story was done well. Congratulations.
  13. Bob, ok thanks very much. This makes sense now as I purchased an NOS front one (in the box) marked 1950 and found another NOS set (in the box)with front and rear fender guards. The front and rear set was was marked 1951-1952. Are there any copies or reproductions of the 1950 accessory book? Been looking for that.

  15. BTW, you wouldnt know if the 1950 and 1951 (and I guess 1952 also) rear Accessory bumper fender guards were the same too?
  16. progoofoff, OK, that sounds very specific. I guess that's the answer then. Thank you for looking that up for me. Reason I asked was because a 52 bumper guard pair was up for sale and I need them for my car. As with most 1950 rear guards, mine are pretty rotted on the bottom as well.
  17. Thank you all for your thoughts on this. I guess the verdict is still out on this question, huh? I'm wondering if because the parts book was made in 1950 if that's why it only says fits 1950? Hmm. The car is stored for now and I am collecting NOS parts for it. I found a rear seat (thanks Buick Farm) and several NOS GM approved accessory items too. I have spoken to a Buick guy regarding a mechanical restoration first. I pretty much decided to get her professionally running/stopping reliably first so as I can enjoy it for a couple of years. That means new wiring harness too as I dont want to have any problems. After that, we will see. Thanks for all everyones help and direction. I'm really finding out how the Buick Club crowd are a great bunch of folks!
  18. Doe's anyone know for sure if the rear bumper guards for a 1950,1951 & 1952 are the same? I here different opinions about that.
  19. How excited you must be to finally have it painted! Good luck. Seems like all Black might have been a popular paint choice for 1950 Buicks as well?
  20. Is there any literature that shows Original accessory items that were offered for 1950? Also, any good books that anyone can suggest? I have a 50 Roadmaster convertible that I want to learn more about its design development, etc. Thanks
  21. Dave, Interesting. Ok, makes sense to me. Thanks for explaining it to me like that. I've been sanding several components down to bare metal and found different colors. So that caused me to be unsure of colors. Obviously someone got "artistic" at some point way back when.
  22. Bill, what about the Harmonic Balancer? Alex
  23. Excellent. Time to beakout some engine enamels. Thanks Bill. Alex
