  1. I'd agree there is a benefit to having an airbag, but if you're a seatbelt wearer it is an incremental benefit. Only if you don't like the look of you face.
  2. They may look better but their not half sa safe.
  3. I have a 90 w/dealer installed sunroof.
  4. F14crazy, Your a fine one to give that kind of advise with all of your rebuild dreams.
  5. Well according to my research, Ford had anti-lock brakes in 1990. And they didn't use a pump, they used vacuum.
  6. If the Reatta was not built originally for performance, then why would GM spend the extra money for brake system that does not depend on vacuum? The lack of a vacuum brake system would mean that there was NO vacuum available from the engine, which means the system was to be positively charged, as In supercharging or turbo charging. I can think of no other reason for the expense. Can anyone else?? Just my two cents.
  7. Why is there a chevy logo on the first design???
  8. What were you charged for installation? I just found one fo $85.00.
  9. Anyone have a coin holder for a 90 that they want to get rid of? Sell.
  10. I really like the rule about 5 points off for the wrong hose clamps and only 4 points off if your whole transmission is wrong. And how about the valve caps. How many points off for each wrong cap?
  11. My 90 has a sensor in the dash. When it begins to get dark the sign in the dash come on and reads "Headlights suggested". It can become irritating when I have a dash pad on.
  12. That really is a GOOD idea. We need a list of mechanics that know what they are doing with our Reatta's.
  13. I agree, All possible information should be gotten on this car. If some one installed this engine and got everthing to work it could become a pattern for anyone else who would be interested. We would need to know if all gauges and instrumation works as original. And most of all we would need to know about every piece that was changed or modified to make it work. From the picture it looks very neatly done. I hope we can gather enought information to attempt another one.
  14. The following pictures claimed to be a 88 Buick engine. I think it is a 91.
  15. I Did the test on my 2000 Park Avenue and only saw a small increase in MPH.
  16. Was the 3800 with "Tuned Port Injection" used in any 88 Buick's? (With arch shaped runners). I was under the impression that it was not offered until 91. Am I wrong?
  17. Simply put, It's about the only thing I have not replaced or rebuilt on the car, short of the whole engine..
  18. Order two and do them both. It will save you from doing the other one later.
  19. When I took mine in for the flush I took the teves manual and a printout from this forum about flushing the pump. My mechanic at Buick had not done one for a long time and he thanked me for the information. When I got the car back the fluid was almost clear. They did a great job.
  20. I know you guys have had a lot more experience with Reatta's than I do,so I am asking a gereral question on AC Compressors. About when in miles,or time do they generally go bad?. If there is such a time. The reason I am asking is I paln a fairly long trip this summer and I would like not to caught on the road with a siezed up compressor or worse. As I have no records on the car I don't know if it has been replaced or not. I have replaced almost everthing else on it. The car has 114,000 miles on it. Any ideas???
  21. I didn't mean to take your last two bulbs, Randy. I don't need them that bad. You are welcome to them if you need them.
  22. How does one join the modified division? And is there a forum for it?
