I tried to install the upper spacers in my '56 and I couldn't get the spring to compress enough to fit it in, so I left it off. No problem with noise or clanking.

If you want to save gas, walk, take a bus or train. If you own a Buick I can't see how you would save gas. I drive them like I stole them.

I JUST WENT THROUGH THE SAME PROCESS AND IT WAS A FAULTY SOLENOID RELAY. yOU CAN FIND THEM ON EBAY FOR 50 TO 76 DOLLARS.

I believe that an electric windshield wiper motor from a '55 - '57 Chevrolet will interchange. The switch is on the motor and you use the original cable to operate it.

The filter fits tight against the upper and lower lids the air cleaner. The cleaner element is almost 4 inches high.

I have used Pertronix units in all of my Buicks (at least 7 of them) and in 3 Corvettes for the last 25 years with absolutely no problems with any of them.

I have used Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant and added 5 gallons on AV Gas to my fuel tanks for many years now with no adverse effects.

I think that 1968 Cadillac front shoes are 2.5 inches wide and will fit the Roadmaster.
