  1. 1939 Dodge. Been in my care since 1982. Note headlamp difference. First year of ram ornament, last year to mention Dodge Brothers on under hood plates.
  2. Thank You for the additional info. Always good to add to my knowledge when seeing rare early automobiles.
  3. Interesting, the photo I have in a book published in 1990 shows the badge on a 1919 Aero Eight ( albeit a tourer not a roadster) . At least it confirmed to be a Cole. Thanks!
  4. 1919 Cole Aero Eight 885 Tour. Headlights are a dead give away.
  5. Wow, needs helper springs on that Caddy!
  6. Wife worked for an orthodontist.. those tools for tieing wires, clipping etc are the bomb! Swiping was easy, brought her lunch and stuffed my pockets. Statute of limitation has long passed.
  7. Guess it is easier to cut the Catalytic Convertors out that way. Jeezz.
  8. Could get very interesting at freeway speeds. Might get you out of a ticket though! 🤔
  9. Arm is not too short, the arm/ spring is slotted and will move to the right when the screw securing the post where the condensor wire attaches is loosened. P.S. the only ignition failure ( in 23 restorations) i have ever experienced was a petronix unit installed by a prior owner. Points are simple and I like it that way. JMHO.
  10. The spring which holds the one point has sliped to 'port' when you lossened the screw to slip in the condensor contact. Note the slot in the spring which allows the arm to rotate. Loosen the screw for the condensor wire attachment and slip the arm spring to 'starboard' and the points will align again. Easy fix.
  11. Stay away from Tri-City. Lost a part of my bumper (their specialty) and then didn't answer calls or even offer to help find another. After searching for two years I found one but... what a bad experience. i wouldn't send them anything smaller then 10 feet long... maybe they won't lose that!
  12. Try Andy Bernbaum for your manifold. He helped me with a new manifold for my 1939. If your looking for a used manifold I might have one. Measure the length from furthest bolthole to bolthole. and let me know if the outlet is on the end or in the center. also measure the outlet diameter. I think it was a pretty common piece. Got a couple of good ones laying around.
