  1. We have 1 excellent (have to look for second one) brand new 1940 Chrysler curved tempered back windows in stock. I cannot believe how rare and yet reasonably priced this is- just $125 + UPS. It is the 1 piece that you can cut from laminated safety glass. Will do a deal for 2nd one if someone has 2 cars. This is a must, only second curved back window made for American vehicles! Prosource Glass International Andover, MA 01810 Reach us at 877-345-2800 Toll Free US & Canada or email info@prosourceglassintl.com
  2. Anytime you folks need glass cut from original specs let me know. Our family has been in the glass business since 1953- Lo-Can glass International for 49 years and ProSource glass international since 2004. We have been involved in hundreds of these projects in every state and you name the car. many companies are licnesed to stencil the original carlite logos- licensed by Ford using laminated safety glass with correct specs. there is no law or ruling that requires the company name or logo of any sort on the glass. I could go on but I am sure there is no federal regulation beyond that.. Feel free to contact us at 877-345-2800 or email richardt@prosourceglassintl.com by the way we have curved NOS glass for some of the later Lincoln models such as 58-60 Lincoln and a few 52-55 model windshields if any interest. Regards, Richard
  3. I will keep it short, although I did major in economics in college. All is pretty much true stated above. I do belive supply and demand plays a key role in the parts including the windshield. They have already dropped the pricing from what it was a few years ago. Likewise they have also lowered the production #'s to less on hand at the Columbus distribution. They have made enough $ on this windshield that they could easily be charging $500 each and keep folks away from salvaging used ones with issues but they are a big conglomerate and no one is going to bother to reproduce these- too few units and too great an investment and Pilkington knows that. Anyways if anyone has a nice one, especially in the Northeast let me know and I will update you on the eta of the windshields. Good reading today.
  4. That makes sense from the past. In order to get it installed for $1157 it would have to be running in the $900 range for the windshield and I have not seen any new ones in recent years for that. I may end up adjusting the price when they come in downward, depends what final costs are to bring them in. Anyone interested please contact me above. Thanks
  5. Can you let me know where that was done? I am guessing Safelite, just trying to see what is happening on the market because I think that is reasonable for this.. is the brand Pilkington? Just curious.
  6. The wholesale price from Pilkington has been $1185 and I would think they would sell to individuals higher. I have never seen or heard of anyone getting one for $1000 and we spend a lot of money with them but anyways we will have 3 coming in by April.
  7. I was not aware of any in the $1000 ballpark from Pilkington unless they dropped the price quite a bit. Wholesale was close to $1200 and retail north of that.. I am not familiar with any trim except for the moldings attached to the windshield and back window. We still have access to some back windows NOS of course for these cars, not in stock. They are quite a bit less than the windshields. Those won't be around for a long time as there are only a few between the different model options.
  8. We are going to import some glass from Europe that is at a glass distributor which deals in American glass. There are 2 good new older (LOF) windshields for the Reatta. We are suppose to be getting 3 incuding 1 with a scratch but until we see it we are not going to offer it. We have seen pictures. We are able to sell these for quite a bit less than Pilkington because they are older production. Obviously costs to import along with some other glass pushes it up but at $975 ea it should be a sizeable savings. If shipped from our MA facility add $50 crate/packing fee + truck freight. We can ship nationwide for $125-185 range and to Canada for $185-250 to most places. We are now accepting a $500 deposit on these as we plan on having this in here safely by April. Full refund if there is any problem but we are paying for these items when shipped to us as a special 1 time import. The balance is payable when they arrive and are shipped. You can check us out at www.prosourceglassintl.com or go to Ebay under prosourceglass for any history on us. We used to own Lo-Can Glass International our family business for 49 years before being sold. Our inventory ended up at Pilkington. This is only for the 2 windshields as mentioned. I will be available at 877-345-2800 on Monday. If out of office leave a message at ext 100. Thanks, Richard
  9. If you need any glass including windshields we probably have some new stuff. Email me at richardt@prosourceglassintl.com or toll free 877-345-2800 I am available sat am or during the week. We specialize in older glass. Richard
  10. Ok, I have my NAGS Book in front of me but i can do these by memory after all these years. (Our family installed these when the cars were new). The 1955-56 Buick Special & Century 4 Dr Hardtop is NAGS#DW358. This does fit 1955-56 Olds 88 Holiday 4Dr "Sedan" which is the Hardtop but the Glass Catalogues call Sedan. They interchange as noted but the Glass Part# is DW358. If you ask a glass vendor for DW356 you will get the post sedan windshield which is taller. So be careful with that. If you want any pricing just shoot me an email at richardt@prosourceglassintl.com or toll free during the day 877-345-2800 Thanks Richard
  11. We have 2 new clear driver side windshields that fit only 1949 Buick Roadmaster 4 Dr Sedan & Estate Wagon models .(It also fits the Cadillac Series 61, 62, Series 60 Fleetwood as well as Olds 98 4Dr sedan). Both windshields are in their original factory boxes. 1 is a Shat R Proof Brand replacement , the other is a PPG Brand replacement. Both have very slite delamination that covers when installed. The PPG Brand has a small chip top corner only thru 1 layer which covers- it is almost impossible to have 50+ year old new glass without some flaw but these are well preserved. They are priced at $200 ea or will sell both at $350. It is possible we may have a right side. We have at least 20+ 1/2 windshields for the late 40's/early 50's GM cars that we need to check over carefully. Most are in excellent condition.
  12. We have a pair of clear windshields for the 1950 Buick 2 Dr Business Coupe/ Sedanet & also fits 4Dr Sedan Models 43 and 41. The GM# is 4570444 for left (Glass Part#DW131) and 4570443 for right (Glass Part#DW130) This is a pair of clear LOF windshields new in mint condition- even in their original cartons. we are asking $185 ea/ $370 for pair + freight to anywhere. That is less than you will find repros which are thinner glass made in Taiwan. This is perfect for New England pick up. Really like to see these find a good home as we only have 1 pair!
  13. Just saw the post Steve.. Is ent you an email before reading.. also have back windows new for these cars! Thanks and good luck. Keep the cold out there.
  14. Just following on email sent in case you check in here.. plenty of windshields if you can use. We have some back windows I think new. Richard
  15. Just an update- all 3 are still available. We have had a couple of inquiries. We will sell seperately but the deal is best for all 3. This is the Model 4439 or 4639 for the 58 4 Dr Hardtop. The Super/ Roadmaster is different application (also available but not as cheap). These are sent crated, insured. we can send all 3 together anywhere in the US for $185-190 max! Even shipping to Canada is within $250 range. We are geared to crate, band and professionally pack. we also have a pair of factory tint right and left corner back windows for the 2 Dr Htop 1957 Special/ Century. these are NOS LOF made GM#4689113 right corner and 4689114 left rear corner glass. These are just $95 ea! They can be shipped UPS seperately or in the same crate. I doubt there are new ones out there cheaper. The right rear is in a sealed box. the left rear is open and there are a couple of very small scratches.
  16. We have 2 new old production back windows for the 1955-56 Plymouth Savoy, Belvedere, Fury. This shows to fit the 2 Dr Hardtop and also the 56 4 Dr Hardtop only. (I know Club Coupe and Sedan take a different one). These are loose on a floor in one of our storage facilities. I would love to have them find a home without breaking them. They both have some scratches even though never used. I will be glad to offer a full description on both. Both were made by PPG, one is clear and 1 is solex tint. This is Glass Part#DB383. We have had these priced at $250 clear and $275 tint. I have dropped the price to $200 eaither color. Just for the Forum if anyone is a Plymouth collector and wants both even for spares I will do the pair at $350. there is a $25 crate fee + freight unless someone wants to pick up in New England. 17. I just happen to read this thread since I was posting about some 55-56 back windows we have here. We are a distributor of antique and classic glass for American and Foreign vehicles.. I think I may have some new original US made windshields reasonably priced. let me know model type. It gets tricky and perhaps someone here can chime in. We have OEM#1542919 (Glass Part#DW347) which fits the 54 Plymouth on the Club Coupe and Business Coupe. The 2 & 4 Dr Sedan uses the same windshield except it is slightly larger with a different type of gasket. Our family installed these when they were new. At one time we have had all here to compare and the difference is about a 1/4 inch in height and less than an inch in width. You may have to change over the gasket type. I happen to have 3 of the ones for the Coupe here so can do a deal. They are not perfect but in good overall shape. Thanks, Richard
  18. Hi Pete: Interesting car. I think I have sold you glass in the past.. if any member needs a NOS windshield I think we have one for the Wagon/ Sedan models.. Richard
  19. These are the 1948-53 Hornet, Wasp, Commodore, Pacemaker Series- all have same curved 2 piece windshields in case anyone is interested. The pass side is in its original box from the 50's.
  20. We sold all the ones we posted to a couple of customers. However we are trying find more very few were available. I will keep you posted. As for the install I am not sure if most but certainly some can install. Look for a shop that also does trim work (installing convertible tops ) which would mean they have a range of expertise. You would have to bring the car to a shop for them to see. I will try to post what we can offer. The ones were priced at $245 each. Richard

  22. looks like 1 set is sold and maybe only 2 sets of the porthole windows are available. Might be able to offer a better deal if someone wants 2 sets now. Richard
  23. We have 3 NOS clear windshields that fit the 1957-58 Buick Special and Century 60 Series 2Dr Hardtop and Convertible. These will also fit a 1958 4 Dr Hardtop. Feel free to inquire for any specific model#'s. We have had these here since 2007 from an inventory buyout. All are new PPG made in the USA but none are "perfect". They range in prices from $200-275 with issues such as delamination on edges to some light surface scratches on the curves to some haze spots from where they were wet in storage . I am posting here hoping someone who is a Buick collector or deals in the parts would like to take all 3 in 1 shipment or picked up. I would sell all 3 at a super deal of $500 + $25 crate + freight if shipped or just $500 picked up. We are geared for shipping . a full detailed explanation of each wiwndshield is available. We could use the room as they take up a lot of space on the racks. On a scale from 1-10, 10 being best we have them noted as 8 out of 10 for 2 and 7 + for the 3rd. Hope we can find a good home for all. I can be reached Toll Free 877-345-2800 or 978-975-5400 email:richardt@prosourceglassintl.com
