1. OK, I put it back the way it was... Thanks for the feedback!
2. So, was it faster before? I don't think I'm moving any more data over the wire. The buttons should be cached by your browser so the next time you visit the site they should not be retrieved again, you might want to check your cache settings. I just checked the size of the menu/images folder. It's about 704 kilobytes. Assuming you have a 28.8 connection, that would take about 240 seconds! Wow, I never realized! That's over four minutes just to load the menu! OK, I'll look into this! Thanks for the input.
3. Greetings fellow members, As you probably noticed (if you clicked the "DISCUSSION" button to get here) the Discussion area is now loaded into the club window instead of a separate window. Please let me know if you like/hate this idea. If you got here via a bookmark, you owe it to yourself to visit the site and checkout the new features. TC America Inc I welcome feedback both positive and negative.
4. Turn the ignition on, open the glove box, press the trunk release button. Once you have access to the inside of the trunk, remove the lock assembly and have the cylinder replaced. You can find the key blanks on e-bay, just search for Chrysler TC. Hope that helps.
5. On my first TC the cylinder was damaged by a locksmith. I often had to have the car towed to the dealer until they replace the lock assembly.
6. In case you want a picture of your TC logo, check out... My Public Folder
7. It's not very intuitive. You have to get behind the knob and compress a "spring". If you look at my odometer project you will see the knob and the "spring" My Projects Hope that helps.
8. You may have already noticed that I changed the way the cars are drawn at the top of the TC America site. I'd like to include pictures of member's TCs. If you have a good quality digital photo of your TC and you would like it included in the slide show, please send it to me at jgbackes@earthlink.net . Some simple rules...
[*]Only one exterior/interior color combination will be in the rotation at a time [*]About once a month I will remove/add TCs to the rotation. [*]No humans or pets allowed in the photographs [*]Please make sure your reflection (or anyone else's) is not in the photograph [*]Please include this statement in your e-mail... I hereby give unlimited rights to use the enclosed photograph of my "Chrysler's TC by Maserati" on the TC America Incorporated website. [*]Please include facts about car, at least year and engine. [*]Please realize that all images will be scaled to fit the top of the page I look forward to seeing some great looking TCs.
9. I went to many of the "big box" stores this last week to get some replacment speakers for the TC. None of them had a clue what kind would work. I was assuming that Infinity Kappas would be a good choice. What are the speaker sizes? I'm assuming 6 1/2" rounds for the door and rear end, and 3" round for the dashboard. I want to keep the stock head unit, but some of the cones are shot and the buzzing is getting on my nerves. Ideas?
10. Just in case you are interested, I posted a project on how to remove the TC headrests. TCProjects Site
11. And now you can even read it... My wife did some proofreading. jeff
12. Sorry, I can't help with that one. I only have the manual for the '89 Fear not though I'm sure someone else will come to the rescue.
13. I'm making some pretty large changes under the covers... The look and feel should remain the same. Please let me know if you find any mistakes. I should be finished with the update by 5:00 PDT. jeff (chief cook, bottle washer, and TCA psudo webmaster)
14. Can you tell me a little about your TC? Year/Engine at least. jeff
15. Greetings all! I have posted another project, this one shows you how to repair your broken TC odometer. TC Projects Page Enjoy
16. I guess Karleen's been busy! TC America's Web Store
17. The accessory position is found by turning the key backward (top toward you) Hope that helps... Jeff
18. Hey TwinCamFan... You don't happen to have more info on the "high perfomance shocks and struts available from Pep Boys" do you? Brand/PartNumber???? Enquiring minds want to know ;-)
19. Try some Goo-Gone from Magic American Corporation. It's available at Wal*Mart.
20. I've been told that the "standard" material that Chrysler used will wear out quickly. From what I hear, urethane is the way to go.
21. I have heard bad things about TC motor mounts. Are you going to replace them yourself? What material are you going to use?
