Thanks Will.
I knew somebody would help a brother out.

Some Dynaflows seem to creep more than others. Even after all of the adjustments have been made. My Special won't creep at all. The wagon does. A 55 Special I had in here had the worst creep I have ever experienced. I replaced mounts and adjusted and readjusted the linkage numerous times. In the end, I told the owner not to have the car in neutral and gun it. Probably not a bad idea anyway.

Sure wish I could photoshop.

So, are you driving this to Springfield, Matt?
-
You got six weeks. There are a lot of Texans going.
-
im am sure you are, but being it is upside down... righty tighty- lefty loosy.
Never a dumb answer.

Please don't glob on red or blue RTV unless you want to make it look like a chevy engine.
Willie
That's funny.

Jack up the rear end and place a stand under the axle. Sounds like you are fighting spring tension. Hopefully it isn't stripped...that'd be a bummer.
-
My biggest problem that I have experienced is that the CARS spray and quart colors don't match each other. I know that they get them mixed at different times...I get that.

Not showing off. Just showing an example of what a model 48 can look like after you have spent twice the sellable value (even after doing a majority of work yourself). A good reason for enjoying it as is.

Yes sir.
I don't even know if I will ever use them. I have my system that seems pretty safe.

A couple pics of my Special.

I have a manifold from a Carter and a Rochester and the dash pot brackets are the same.
-
Keep in mind that a 59 is too old and a 61 is too new.

Like.
A lot.
Red wheels please.

The reason I found out the difference was due to the large piles of them I have sitting around here.
I actually do have some, but they are all on manifolds.
You're a king among men, Bob.

I reread that this was a Century, just to make sure. FWIW, a two barrel has a different bracket than a four barrel.
-
I bet that guy is a wee bit bummed about that.

I was going to send these pics to the OP of a rebuilt 55 Rochester, but they wouldn't go through the forum PM system. He could pull the push button off and start it like a Buick ought to.

Oops. PM sent to the wrong guy.

Nice. I know you have been looking for a while.

The first time I did it, I removed it from the bottom. The last time I did it, I had the dash off to paint it, and the nuts on the back side were noticeably easier to remove (rather than trying to access them from below).
56 Special 4 door (couldn't pass up cause price was right)
